Workshop Teaching Style Analysis to AP* and Pre-AP* English Students

Description We will be offering our one-day Teaching Style Analysis to AP* and Pre-AP* English Students workshop in Los Angeles (Manhattan Beach) on Saturday, March 28, 2009. The day will focus on ways to prepare students for the style analysis section of the AP Literature and Composition test. AP Language and Composition teachers may also find the workshop helpful for teaching the style analysis features of rhetorical analysis. This workshop is also appropriate for teachers in grades 6-12 as they plan their vertical team.

As part of the workshop, you will receive a copy of our curriculum guide, Teaching Style Analysis to AP and Pre-AP English Students. We will show you how our students excel on the style section of the test and discuss ways to embed the unit in a grades 6-12 Vertical Team scope and sequence.

We encourage you and your colleagues to attend and learn about our tested and proven approach to raising scores on the AP English test and improving reading comprehension at the same time. The presenter will be Deborah Louis, long-time AP English teacher from Dallas. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Cost We are using only online registration for this workshop. We accept credit cards and purchase orders online. The non-refundable fee of $190 includes continental breakfast, afternoon snack, curriculum materials, and self-parking. Lunch is on your own from 11:30-12:45.
