Phase III, Advanced Academics: The Advanced Academics workshop is designed for middle school teachers, high school teachers, and college professors who teach Pre-AP® English, Advanced Placement® Literature and Composition, and College Literary Analysis and Composition. This training focuses on Style Analysis, providing instructors with strategies to teach their students how to analyze an author’s diction, detail, imagery, point of view, figurative language, organizational structure, and syntax. Instructors are encouraged to bring a novel, drama, short story, and poem they plan to teach during a school year.
Note: For Advanced Placement Language and Composition Instructors, see our Advanced Argumentation Course Coming in January 2025.
This training is a prerequisite to Phase III. If you haven’t taken the official Phase I training, please do before registering for Phase II or Phase III.
